Molly is sick.

She's got her first cold. Feels okay today, but last night was awful. Hopefully she'll bounce right back... she's pretty smiley today, despite the occasional coughing.

We did go to the doctor this morning (the coughing was kinda intense last night), just to make sure it was a normal cold and nothing uglier.

She's heavier -- 12 pounds, 12.4 ounces. Healthy baby... aside from the whole sick thing.

What's new with Molly

What is new with Molly this week?

1. She started daycare... just a couple of hours or so each day. She seems to love it and everyone there seems to love her. But of course... who wouldn't?
2. She is sleeping through the night... several nights this week: 8 hour stretch between feedings. Yippeee!!!
3. More control over her hands. Tonight she grabbed the burp cloth and shoved it in her mouth. Good baby progress!

Okay, I just took this picture to distract Molly this morning. But I really like it... there's kind of a "Conner family" expression going on here, don't you think?


Gotta love her... she's stopped crying and is now looking forward to another happy day.

How to get a baby to sleep

Step 1. Keep her playing as much as possible (this includes entertainment like this mobile and things like singing and dancing). Ideally, she'll just fall asleep from exhaustion on her own.

Step 2. Put her on daddy for a joint nap.

Molly has another growth spurt?

Molly slept most of the day yesterday, all night (except for one feeding), and is asleep again.

Tummy-time

Molly enjoys a little bit of tummy time in her gym. That green thing she's looking at is a mirror. She's laying there talking to herself right now. Mom had to share...

Bigger every day

Molly is ten weeks old!

This week she:

• Smiles and "talks" even more
• Has more hair
• Visited the daycare that she'll be staying at
• Visited friends and family
• Moved from size 1 to size 1-2 diapers

We were going through the "future clothes" pile, and decided to try on the "Gothic" dress that Aunt Lou made Molly. It's still a bit big, but really cute. Molly's not that excited, though.
